About Me

For all my friends, even if we are thousands miles away, we can still be close...I've lived in the U.S. for three years and it has changed me so much! Now I see the world from a totally new perspective. I am trying to capture all the surrounding beauty of that world and share it here [in the blog] with you.

I was born in St.Petersburg, Russia. Moved around with my family a lot. And my family is big and beautiful and I like to brag about all of my family members (especially about my amazing sisters Nadya & Olya).

Also, I don't make friends easily but the ones I have are the best BFFs anyone could wish for, and I love taking their pictures to the point where it annoys them to death (sorry guys) so you can see a lot of them here.

I've lived in a small town Luga in Leningrad region, Russia. It is small and grey like many small towns but it is surrounded by beautiful gloomy forests which have such quietness and serenity in them that it takes your breath away.
For quite some time I used to live in Veliky Novgorod. It's an ancient city with rich history and beautiful landmarks. My parents still live there, so I visit it whenever I can.
Then I lived in Rochester, Michigan, USA. Let me tell you, that place will always have a special place in my heart. Three years spent there changed my life. All the people that I met, the American culture and lifestyle have given me new perspectives on life. That little town has changed me a whole lot.
I've also lived in the famous "Northern Capital" of Russia: Saint-Petersburg. That city does not need any advertisement. It is one of a kind.

And at the moment, I am in Moscow. I'm still studying it and trying to discover all it's beauty.

My life can be hectic and often my problems are of my own making but if there is one thing that I've learned through these past few years, it's this:
"When you were a kid and wanted to do something your parents or teachers didn’t like, you may have heard the question “If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you?” The idea is that it’s not good to do something stupid, even if everyone else is doing it. The logic is, Think for yourself instead of following the crowd. It’s not bad advice, even if it’s sometimes used to exert control more than to support independent thinking. But one day, you grow up and suddenly the tables are turned. People start expecting you to behave very much like they do. If you disagree and don’t conform to their expectations, some of them get confused or irritated. It’s almost as if they are asking: “Hey, everyone else is jumping off the bridge. Why aren’t you?” "

  Send my love to all
  Maria
